Title: Coffee Break Quickies
Editor: Roger Armstrong
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: January 15, 2013
Payment: $50
Type: Heterosexual
Ah, the allure of the office romance. The sly smiles across the room as you wonder if anyone else knows. The danger of being caught by the boss. The thrill of those stolen moments in the copy room or supply closet. It’s this feeling that we want to condense, distill, and capture in the short shorts of Coffee Break Quickies.
Submissions should be between only 2,000 and 5,000 words. All genres are acceptable as long as the office romance theme is carried through. While a happy ending is not strictly required due to the shortness, we still want upbeat and fun stories with a sensual and erotic edge. Accepted submissions will be paid a flat $50 payment, will not be released as individual titles, and we seek exclusive rights for two (2) years.

Title: Women of Honor
Editor: S.L. Armstrong
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: January 31, 2013
Payment: $75-$125
Type: Lesbian
Forget men in uniform; this anthology is all about women serving in the armed forces. Though often overlooked throughout history, women play an important role in the service of their countries and are just as capable of honor and valor in the line of duty.
For our “Women of Honor” anthology, we’re looking for stories in which at least one of the main characters is an active soldier. They can be anything from intelligence officers to rescue divers to trained snipers, so long as the military service is an integral part of the story and character. The country in which the character serves is all up to you, and feel free to make these romances international if you’re compelled.
Because of the nature of combative military service, we are asking that these stories have happily-ever-after or happily-for-now endings. Whatever trials you put your female characters through, make sure they end the tale on a high note.

Title: Blurred Lines
Editor: K. Piet
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: January 31, 2013
Payment: $75-$125
Type: Trans*
A growing phenomenon in the queer community is rejecting the strict confines of the gender binary. The need to be ‘all boy’ or ‘all girl’ all the time—or to feel like one or the other at all—is a restriction on free gender expression.
What does it look like when someone blazes their own path through gender roles? Wearing, saying, and doing what they want, even when it causes confusion or discomfort to others? It takes a strong personality to defy societal norms. We want you to tell us about it.
For this anthology, we’re looking for stories between 10,000 and 20,000 words with a main character that identifies as trans* or genderqueer. Stories can be of any genre or subject, but should include erotic content. Stories may contain neutral-gender pronouns if a character chooses to identify that way, but please be consistent in their usage and include a note at the top of your story which ones you are using.

Title: Falling In Love
Editor: S.L. Armstrong
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: February 28, 2013
Payment: $75-$125
Type: QUILTBAG Young Adult
Everyone remembers their first love. The first time your heart leaps when someone looks at you, smiles at you, maybe even kisses you. From school, to camp, to just hanging around the neighborhood, people meet and fall in love everywhere.
For LGBT youth the feelings are the same, but the challenges can be very different. What happens when love is complicated by what friends, family, peers, or teachers think? What about if you’re not allowed to take the person you love to the prom?
On the other hand, how amazing is the feeling of knowing that you’re not alone… that there’s not only another person like you, but that another person likes you? When you’re young and in love every day can feel like an epic love story and we want to hear all about it.
Submissions should be between 10,000 and 20,000 words and incorporate QUILTBAG characters and themes into the greater theme of young adult (12-19 years old) and first loves.

Title: Dark Menagerie
Editor: S.L. Armstrong
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: February 28, 2013
Payment: $75-$125
Type: Gay
A shifter leads two lives: one as a human, and one as an animal. Sometimes these lives are intertwined, and sometimes they are not, but always the shifter has to find a way to reconcile one with the other.
For “Dark Menagerie”, we are looking for erotic M/M stories about the darker side of shifting. We would love to follow your characters as they explore the darker side of what it means to have one foot in the animal world and one foot in the human world. Do they keep the animal starkly separate from their lives as a human being, or does their shifting lead them to a darker corner of the mind where human and animal are nearly indistinguishable and shifters live on fear and instinct no matter what form they’re in? Dubious and non-consensual scenes are allowed for this anthology, but we are more interested in reading is how your characters work through the murky maze of living this kind of life through their love story and/or eroticism, with your story ultimately ending in a happily-ever-after or happy-for-now.
All genres are welcome, contemporary, urban fantasy, historical, sci-fi, western, high fantasy, etc. The only thing you must have is conflict; we want the shifting to be important to the story in more than one way. And although these are shifter anthologies, we are not looking for them to have sex in animal form! You might be able to squeeze by with half-shifted characters but it’s really better not to risk it unless you feel it’s absolutely necessary.

Title: Forgotten Menagerie
Editor: S.L. Armstrong
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: February 28, 2013
Payment: $75-$125
Type: Gay
A shifter leads two lives: one as a human, and one as an animal. Sometimes these lives are intertwined, and sometimes they are not, but always the shifter has to find a way to reconcile one with the other.
In “Forgotten Menagerie”, we are looking for erotic M/M stories where the animal forms are anything that is non-canine and non-feline. No to wolves, leopards, dogs, cougars, house cats, and anything else that falls under the Felidae or Canidae families. Bears, weasels, birds, reptiles—these are what we’re after! We want to see you put a mythos to these more unusual forms. You are free to write most mythological creatures as the animal form—dragons, gryphons, and the like—but we do not want creatures which are part-human, such as centaurs. For this anthology we are looking for pieces with a lighter theme. This does not mean that your story has to be all butterflies and fluff, but it does mean that we need a happily-ever-after (or happy-for-now) ending and no instances of dubious or non-consensual situations.

Title: Turning the Tables
Editor: S.L. Armstrong
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: February 28, 2013
Payment: $75-$125
Type: Heterosexual
You know how the saying goes; turnabout is fair play. That means it’s time for boyfriend to bend over. Whether it’s his first time or he’s an eager bottom who can’t get enough, we’re looking for stories where the woman might not wear the pants in the relationship, but she does take a turn wearing the cock.
Wearing a strap-on leads to endless possibilities. Whether it’s the woman taking a turn receiving a blow job or otherwise taking charge in the bedroom, once you slide on a strap-on, power dynamics change.
For this anthology, we’re looking for M/F erotic stories of pegging. Submissions should be between 10,000 and 20,000 words and can be of any genre. Give us your hottest stories about what it’s like to turn the tables and take on a different role.

Title: Snatched
Editor: S.L. Armstrong
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: February 28, 2013
Payment: $75-$125
Type: GLBTQ
Any hunter will tell you part of the satisfaction is in the chase as well as the triumphant capture of their prey. In “Snatched”, we’re looking for stories that eroticize the power play between men and their male captors. Whether romance ensues or just a good amount of steamy sex, we want to see the effects of one character being in utter control of the man he has captured. The appeal is in the erotic dominance and the way the captive would try to escape if he could, whether he truly wants to deep down or not.
Because of the nature of captivity, some of these stories will involve dark themes and non-con sex. Happily-ever-afters are not required. Genre is also a free-for-all, so you can have anything from an apprehended prisoner of war to a burglary gone wrong to a rogue genetic experiment falling into the wrong hands.

Title: Like a Glove
Editor: K. Piet
Publisher: Storm Moon Press
Deadline: March 31, 2013
Payment: $75-$125
Type: Lesbian
For many women, the act of fisting is one of the most intense during sex. To not only be penetrated, but stretched open to take in an entire hand takes a level of trust that can sometimes be difficult to find in a lover. In “Like A Glove”, we’re looking for short stories that focus on the eroticism of fisting between women.
These stories must make fisting the erotic focus, which means it’s likely your characters will express a few hang-ups or have inexperience/past experience that makes the act all the more meaningful. Feel free to explore different kinds of fisting in your submissions (i.e. vaginal or anal) or different techniques, so long as safety is kept in mind. Since intense emotion is often tied to fisting, be sure to give the character(s) on the receiving end plenty of care and consideration. We would like the tone to be kept positive and even playful, so happily-ever-after or happily-for-now endings are preferred.

Snatched is mine and maybe Forgotten Menagerie.
We’re really looking forward to Forgotten Menagerie.
