Wayne Mansfield was born and raised in rural Western Australia. He left home at 17 to complete a Diploma of Teaching at university in that state's capital city, Perth. Since graduating he has also studied a year of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, obtained his Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults and a Diploma in Counseling.
Currently he lives in Mount Lawley and works as an English language teacher. At the beginning of his writing career, he wrote plain erotica but grew tired of the same old scenarios and the lack of opportunity to be stretched as a creative person. Therefore, he began to combine his love of horror with erotica and now almost exclusively writes dark erotica—usually involving vampires, though an occasional demon might appear in one of his stories. "The erotic content has now become secondary to the story, whereas before it used to be vice versa," he says. He has been published many times, both in print and online, in the US, the UK and Australia.
