Janine Ashbless is a writer of erotic fiction who specializes in paranormal, fantasy and fairytales. She's had five books of erotica published by Virgin Black Lace: Cruel Enchantment (2000), Dark Enchantment (2009) (both collections of short stories), Divine Torment (2002), Burning Bright (2007) (both swords-and-sandals fantasy novels), and Wildwood (2008) (a contemporary fantasy novel about earth magic). In addition, she's had short stories published by Harlequin Spice, Nexus, Xcite, Black Lace, and Cleis Press, including a story in Best Women’s Erotica 2009. She was named "Erotic Fiction Writer of the Year 2009" by Jade—the international erotic art and literature magazine. She lives in the UK with several rescued greyhounds, but loves to travel abroad. She had a full-time and exceptionally muddy job for several years as a Viking re-enactor—it gave her asthma, fallen arches, and an abiding dislike of goats—but she hasn't ever written about the Viking period in her fiction... until now.
